BROOKE’S PORTFOLIO
Writing Samples
I‘ve written enough to fill a library. A library of sales copy and content marketing no one would want a membership to. But my words have humbly driven millions in revenue, so they’re worth their weight in gold.
Here are samples from just the last two years.
Smartbridge.com Sales Pages
About 90% of the copy on Smartbridge.com sales, static or landing pages (not blog posts or case studies) was written by me with very little review or revision.
The best examples are:
- The homepage of Smartbridge.com (apologies – I’m not linking to ensure our tracking tools don’t reveal my portfolio as a referral source),
- Sales landing page for Data Engineering (located at https://smartbridge.com/data/data-engineering/)
- I’ve also written our About section, and our boilerplate (elevator pitch) that is featured in employee onboarding and within our Brand Guidelines. (located at https://smartbridge.com/about-us/)
- Here’s another random sales page example, for Power BI services (located at https://smartbridge.com/data/our-expertise/business-intelligence-analytics/power-bi-consulting-services/)

Content Marketing & Thought Leadership
I’m not a thought leader or subject matter expert, but I do play one on websites! I’ve researched my way into the hearts of our website visitors across topics such as Salesforce, Azure, Robotic Process Automation, Power BI and loads of others. It’s a thrill to watch videos of people reading (using their mouse as a guide) through one of my articles and continuing their journey throughout our domain.
Note: Social media posts, brochure copy and other forms of content creation are available, just ask!
The Ghostiest Ghost-Writer
I write our “VIP email series” from our CEO. This is a regular email “from the desk of our CEO” that only goes to clients. It highlights his visions for technology trends and special incentives through direct access to him. He typically makes minor edits.
Marketing Nurture Emails
Sales pick and choose their most delicious contacts based on buyer signals. Meanwhile, marketing continues year-long nurtures for opted-in prospects based on the topic they showed interest in.
We are actively updating content for these emails to stay timely and relevant. Engagement on emails is well above the benchmark for B2B professional services, usually 15-20% open rates and 5% click-through rates. The rub is that no conversions have been confidently directed back to the nurtures (we can assume some multi-touch attribution). Hence the aggressive audit of content.
Here are some samples of email nurtures I have written.
Does ChatGPT Count?
For a few years we have tested out AI content marketing tools like WriteSonic and Jasper. They leave a lot to be desired.
Especially when your team is highly skilled at technical and content SEO, you don’t want to sabotage a strategy that works.
Since ChatGPT made an entrance, it promises a higher value result. After watching videos on how to skillfully request truly unique and relative content, I gave it a go.
- I told ChatGPT I needed an article for a specific keyword to be published on our website
- I gave some details as to our company’s objectives and services
- I gave a list of objectives I wanted to cover, including how companies like ours can add value to the topic
- I asked for an outline
- I asked for it to draft the article, with some back and forth regarding the personality and tone
The outcome was a very comprehensive with an article that was about 75% complete. It just needs an accuracy review, and some personal anecdotes in the intro/outro to give it some character.
I’m excited to test its SEO performance! I gave it a keyword that has high search volume and low keyword density so it has lots of potential.
The Result:
The article (https://smartbridge.com/dell-boomi-vs-mulesoft/) immediately ranked for the keyword I was trying for, plus a few more, the day AFTER it was published!
